A home of my own

If you are a faithful and aware reader, you might remember that I mentioned a while back that there was something that may change my life forever lurking in the shadows. This will be a good change, I think. It is time for this change to take place. The change is...Mommy's going to have another baby!!!

HAHA! No, no. Just kidding! That would be horrible! Just the thought of sharing the attention with another child makes me shudder.

Actually, the change is that we are going to be moving into our new home in May. Mommy and Daddy took the plunge and have pretty much bought a house. I probably shouldn't be saying anything, because now we will be jinxed and it will all fall through...(Knock on wood!).

This house that we have bought actually belonged to Daddy's grandparents for almost 50 years. Daddy actually grew up across the street from it and spent a huge portion of his adolescence in this house. Obviously, you can tell it's OLD! It was built in the FIFTIES! You know, the olden days... Anyway, the closing date is on May 15th. That gives Mommy and Daddy just barely enough time to pull up the pretty blue and green shag carpeting and maybe paint a few walls before my birthday party on Memorial Day weekend. I guarantee that this house will be looking stylish and new when Mommy and Daddy are done with it.
